This is a great siding product and I think in is far better than vinyl siding.
There is a special saw blade for cutting this product, one that has very few carbide teeth. I use my circular saw and my miter saw to make the cuts, so you usually need two different sizes of these blades.

If you are doing a lot of this type of siding there are some gauges that clamp the previous row of siding installed that can be set to your exposure width. These gauges are adjustable so you can set them for that exposure you need to get the last row of siding to be the width you need. They save a lot of time because it also turns the install into a one man job, making it easy to hold the pieces in place fore nailing.
