Here's a more pro version of the chainsaw mill I wrote about a couple of days ago.

With the rigid metal guide rail you won't get any flexing up and down so there is more control on your plank thickness.

And with a long chain bar you can get an attachment for a second guide rail on tho other side of the log – ideal for really big logs.
