Do you Have Some Ugly Screw Holes To Hide?
One of the best ways to do that is to use a countersink / counter bore bit for your screws and then put a wood plug in the counter bored part of the hole.
You then cut the plug off flush with the surface and sand it smooth.
I like to cut the plugs off with a chisel. Just make sure you make the first chisel cut an 1/8th” above the surface so you know the direction of the wood grain in the plug.
