This is an old saying, but it is oh so true.

Only the real true craftsmen will take the time to build a beautiful tool box of their own.

The guy with an apron and hammer is just a glorified laborer.

The average carpenter probably has his tools in a metal tool box, plastic tool box or canvas duffle bag.

That of course is a broad generalization. One portable wooden tool box isn't any where big enough to hold all the tools that may be needed.My wooden tool box stays in the truck except on larger commercial jobs and I have a couple of Fabric tool totes to carry tools into the small job.
